Re: Using the N-key breakage in Version 3.1.4 :6ea6f87:

Did you see an improvement on this particular point in 3.1.5 RC 1 which is available at https://bintray.com/viennarss/vienna-rss/vienna-rss/3.1.5RC1/view ? With my first quick look it seems to act better with this. Also the 'n' key acts different. When I get to the last unread article in a site the...

Re: Using the N-key breakage in Version 3.1.4 :6ea6f87:

Another thought : when this appears, check in the Console log to see if you have a message : «  Fixing unread count for XXXX (YY on folder versus ZZ in articles) »
Thanks in advance.

Re: Using the N-key breakage in Version 3.1.4 :6ea6f87:

@JSH56 : I understand from your posts that the problem is intermittent for you. Can you confirm ?

@liam : Is it the same for you or is it permanent ?
Your input is important because I am unable to reproduce this issue.

Re: Using the N-key breakage in Version 3.1.4 :6ea6f87:

@liam : I am referring to your initial post : 1. 'n' does not take me to the last unread article - it will move through the articles and then act as though there are no more unread, but when I scroll down I will see a site with an unread article. From which kind of folder (individual RSS feed, group...

Re: Deleting articles marks them as read

This is essentially the same problem as viewtopic.php?t=26845&p=139466

I have work in progress and hopes to publish soon a test build.

From what kind of folder (individual RSS feed, group folder, smart folder) do you select (and try to delete) articles ?

Re: crash in Vienna -> Preferences

Please zip the crashlog (it should be in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/) and upload it here.

Re: Vienna open then crashes...

I’d appreciate you zip the crashlog (it should be in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/) and upload it here.

A common workaround is to trash the preferences file (~/Library/Preferences/uk.co.opencommunity.vienna2.plist)

Another point in helping identifying the cause : when the problem appear, please have a look in the Console log and check if there are messages related to Vienna

Re: Unable to change default RSS reader

Mmmh… Something is broken here, especially since OS X 10.10 For the time being, you can use RCDefaultApp http://www.rubicode.com/Software/RCDefaultApp/ . It is a control panel which installs itself in System Preferences. In the URL tab, assign Vienna to the ‘feed' protocol Check in the Apps tab that...

Re: Date/time doesn't agree with detail article

I guess that story has been updated often, but only the date/time of iniitial publication is available in the RSS feed.

RSS/Atom specifications allow publishers to provide additional information about date/time of last modification, but USAToday does not provide this information.

Re: inoreader sync

Can you try the latest beta build ? https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss ... F3.1.4_rc2

You might have to mark deleted articles read through Inoreader’s webpages, but from now on, Vienna should be much able to sync correctly.

Fixed in the latest Beta (3.1.4RC2).

You’ll probably need to trash (or restore) the ~/Library/Application Support/Vienna folder

Re: Vienna Open Reader Sync Tutorial

For making sure things are clear : you can add new feeds to Inoreader directly from Vienna (just make sure that the "Subscribe into Open Reader" checkbox is checked), but a "local only" version of a feed will "hide" its Open Reader equivalent.
