Not receiving offline messages with ICQ lately (Adium 1.3.8)

Hey,

I noticed that i don´t get any offline messages on ICQ anymore. This means when someone messages me while I´m offline I do not get the messages when I connect. I don´t know if they are "lost" or if Adium just doesn´t download them from the server. It still worked last week so I assume the problem has been introduced with the updated libpurble from Adium 1.3.8.
I´d be grateful if you could look into this.

same here, adium doesn't download offline messages anymore. You can switch to another icq client to read your offline messages until it's fixed.

At least good to know the messages aren´t lost and one can answer them after the problem is fixed

I am having this same issue for Adium 1.3.8, but for AIM. (I'm using OS X 10.4.11, In case that is necessary). This feature was working really well before the upgrade

This is fixed in the 1.4 beta. I'm afraid there is no solution to this for Mac OS X 10.4 users right now.

I updated to Adium 1.4 beta 17 this morning. When I logged in I only received offline messages from yesterday, but I know there must be plenty more (since the release of 1.3.8 in November) ... What happened to the messages? Are they lost / deleted from the servers after some time? That would be quiet a shame... Answers are apprecieated... thanks in advance!

I'v installed Adium 1.4 beta 17 and tested it with my friend. He is able to receive "offline" messages but I'm NOT. We have the same versions of Adium! Using ICQ.
I'm playing with login server - but no results.
I'm loosing offline messages =(

This must be an issue with libpurple (http://trac.adium.im/wiki/LibPurple). However, the current beta isn't up-to-date in that respect. so with any luck, this should be better in the next beta for which I cannot promise a release date as development has come to a temporary halt. The few developers Adium has are busy with work.

Regarding 1.3.x:
I know it sucks but it looks like no current developer is willing to release another 1.3.x version unless for security reasons. But I'll see whether I can convince anyone.
