I'm a long-time user of Vienna, and have just noticed this weird behavior. Some of my subs' URLs, in this case the Krebs On Security blog feed, keep getting rewritten.
Case in point, the KoS feed URL, as per the site, is: http://krebsonsecurity.com/feed/
Which is the RSS feed URL i used in Vienna. Right now, my Vienna install (v 3.0.8) has changed that to, I kid you not, "http:://www.krebsonsecurity.com:80,www.krebsonsecurity.com/"
Which, of course, leads to errors. If I change it back to the URL I provided, it'll work for a while, before it gets rewritten to a broken URL.
Help?
Why does Vienna keep changing my feed URLs?!

Have had exactly the same problem with the Krebs page. Has occurred numerous times.
Re: Why does Vienna keep changing my feed URLs?!
Hmmm… My guess is that the website is trying to redirect you to its secure version (https), but the syntax it uses for the new location is a bit unusual.
I don’t know if it is a Vienna problem or a server configuration problem.
As a workaround, you can change the URL to https://krebsonsecurity.com/feed/ . Please report here if the problem reoccur.

Re: Why does Vienna keep changing my feed URLs?!
I think it is a server configuration bug.
The site replies (I shortened for clarity) :
while it should reply :
The spec specifies that the Location should be an absolute URI, and the comma is a reserved character http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc ... l#sec14.30 and http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3986#section-3
So, as a workaround, use the URI https://krebsonsecurity.com/feed/ and report the issue to the website owner.

Re: Why does Vienna keep changing my feed URLs?!
Hi there,
I'm experiencing something similar – however somewhat more menacing...!
The URLs of some of my feeds are also changed spontaneously, but the address which appears is this: "https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/cyber/cyber-task-forces-building-alliances-to-improve-the-nations-cybersecurity-1" !!!!????
–Am I subject to malware!?!
I'm subscribing to a bunch of feeds inside molecular biology, and only three of them that are all hosted by the scientific conglomerate "Cell", are subject to this spontaneous change.
The feeds are all hosted on the same server, but intermittently their urls are changed into the one above. Each of the three feeds should report the contents of a specific scientific journal. The addresses of the three feeds are:
http://www.cell.com/cell/current.rss
http://www.cell.com/biophysj/current.rss
http://www.cell.com/structure/current.rss
When using these addresses for the first few rounds of update it works fine. But, then suddenly the address of the feed is changed – obviously generating an error.
I have tried thrashing Vienna and downloading it anew, but this doesn't fix it...
I'm running Vienna Version 3.1.10 :d05d7a5d:, on OSX 10.11.6, on a rather old Macbook Pro (late 2009).
–I am not experiencing problems with any other feed.
Hope this can be resolved, or that it will be confirmed I'm not the victim of malware!
–Thanks!
Best rgds.,
