Perian is dead! since 4/4/10 on my Mac

As of 4/4/10 Perian won't read Flash downloads from YouTube with QuickTime. Anyone know what"s up? I'm on Tiger 10.4.11 with Safari 4.0.5. Maybe the new Safari update?

They probably need to be renamed to .mp4. Or renamed from .mp4 to .flv, I didn't check. QuickTime requires accurate file extensions for some reason.
