Help. I am trying to use MKV to export. But it is not showing up in quicktime as an option. I used FiendishThngs to try and see if it was registering at all as a component but I cannot see it. I am running OSX 10.5.8 and quicktime pro. The Xiph theora seems to register just fine.
I also got 1.2 and tried that but that wasn't showing up either.
I'm going to fiddle with the source code a bit, but if anyone knows why I can't see this please respond.
Help, Matroska Export component not registering
Re: Help, Matroska Export component not registering
Perian doesn't have any export components. Though it might be nice, I'm not sure QT is flexible enough to do a good job.
Re: Help, Matroska Export component not registering
What you say may be true. I've been looking through the source and there is definitely a MatroskaExport.r.
Could it be possible that this file is there for the purpose of future development? Or am I perhaps reading things wrong?
Just out of curiosity, why do you think that quicktime would not be flexible enough for exporting Matroska? And a follow up , which tools would the average apple use (if not quicktime) for exporting different formats?
