Hi all! First of all i want to say I love Perian, I'm installing it on every Mac I need to work on (Apple Premium Reseller) and on all my friends computer when I configure their machines. I've donated in the past and I will donate again in the future.
Second thing, probably it is a known limitation/issues: I have few m4v files with srt subtitles, and they are not displayed at all (I mean subs). I have converted these with Handbrake from mkv files, if I load mkv files I see these subs. Subs have sme name as movie file so they are loaded automatically. it seems Perian doesn't load srt with m4v files but with others movie extension yes (avi, mkv...).
Thanks in advance, I hope to see Perian always improved and updated especially on 10.6 and 10.7 to use latest software goodies!
The Perian forums have moved to Google Groups, this forum is read only.

We've answered this several times. It load external subtitles for file formats it reads. Perian doesn't read m4v, mp4, or mov files because QuickTime does that already, and does a better job than we can.
