Calling prowl.pl via AppleScript

Postby romeyn » Mon Sep 28, 2009 3:51 am

I'm having trouble getting AppleScript to properly call prowl.pl. If, in a terminal window, I type:

~/Documents/prowl/prowl.pl -apikeyfile=./apikey -application='Mail' -event='Receipt' -notification='Important Email!' -priority='1'

it works.

If I send that same string, in quotes, via the AppleScript "do shell script" command, it chokes on like 58 of the perl script, which means it's not finding the apikey text file.

Why?

...aaaand in typical embarrassing fashion I discovered the answer roughly 30 seconds after posting.

I had to include the entire path to the apikey file in order for it to work.

*sigh*
