I'm confused, can I or can I not send a custom URL from my script to Prowl and have it open Safari with it?

I have added a redirection to Safari in Prowl but it just opens "localhost", not the sent URL. I have tried sending the URL in both "application", "event" and "description".

This is not possible in the current version of Prowl. Your best bet for now is to put the URL in the description and tap on it.

This is now possible in the next version which has been submitted to the app store. The API now has a 'url' parameter which you can pass in the URL you want Prowl to redirect to.

Hi,

can you tell us exactly how this is done?

I am using the Prowl plugin for Chrome, I can't seem to get it to redirect into mobile safari with the URL included.

The Chrome plugin needs to be updated to take advantage of the added 'url' API parameter. You can comment on its extensions page.

I am having trouble getting the url to open directly in safari it opens in prowl, and then I have to click the button at the bottom and pick to open in safari.. why wont it auto open in safari?

Enable "Redirects use Safari" for redirects to use Safari.

first...sorry my english is very bad.

my problem..

i can not automaticly a safari webside, if i push.

exemple:

application name is google

custom url is http://google.com

ask before redirect is enable
redirects use safari is enable.

i send a e-mail with my number+-redirectgoogle@api.prowlapp.com

my 2 my number+-google@api.prowlapp.com

push is on the iphone but google will not open automaticly in safari.

what is wrong?

U need to update your app version. The newest version supports this ..

and much more...the push is on the iphone, but google will not open.

I believe you have a fundamental misunderstanding on how to set up the Prowlmail redirect here. In this case, set the Application to "Prowlmail" and the "event" to include the first few characters of the API key, then it'll do the custom redirect as you're expecting.

Putting something like "redirect.google" in the target wont' do anything; it doesn't get sent anywhere and it's not processed by anything.
