Sounds are always the same

Postby cosmicboy » Thu Sep 09, 2010 7:51 am

I changed my sound settings in prowl to different sounds for each emergency state. But I send me an alert for the different emergency states, I always get the same sound. Whats getting wrong?

Thanks
Thorsten

Can you try using the Prowl website to send the priority levels and confirm they aren't working? If that's so, can you give me your prowl username so I can look up your account?

Yes! I tested it with the prowl website before and I confirmed the problem and my username is 'puzich'

Hey, as I wrote before, I tested the priority levels and can confirm, that they aren't working. Please, can you have a look on my account?

Thanks a lot!

The server shows your sounds are all set to Elysium. Is this not what your device shows? It was last updated 9/09/2010 so I assume it's the right device; if the sounds are different, can you send me a screenshot of your Settings window? prowl-support@googlegroups.com if you don't want to attach it here.

I attached a screenshot of my settings to this post.

I haven't changed my settings since month. The only thing that has changed, was my iPhone due to a support issue. As you see at the screenshot, I use three different sound for the most alert levels.

So, what I have to do next, to get this thing running again? O:)

I don't see any errors on the server for your account trying to update the settings, so I'm quite dumbstruck.

Can you try toggling a setting to force the server to update? If you haven't done it since the new iPhone, and your old one had all the settings, the server (might) not have been updated with the correct settings.

Failing that, you can try deleting and reinstalling Prowl. You'll lose the settings, but it should force the update for sure.

Thanks a lot. After doing the settings again, it works now as it should.

Hi,

I have the same problems as here described. I only get the same alert sound but I have configured different sounds in the settings.

I have tested it with the prowl website too.

Can you check my account "delocke"?

thx

I see, from the server's perspective, that you have sounds 3,6,6,1,1 configured. This is: vibrate, beep, beep, elysium, elysium. Is this what you're seeing locally? If not, can you try toggling settings and seeing if it updates?
