Line break not working

Postby binaryaddict » Wed Jan 18, 2012 3:48 pm

Hi there,

Due to some restrictions of my corporate environment I have built myself a little VBA script within Outlook, that accesses an instance of IE and calls the Prowl API.
All of that works like a charm, except I can`t seem to format the message the way I want it.

I cannot get a line break between the sender name and the subject. I would like to have one just where the colon is right now:

Code: Select all

url = "https://api.prowlapp.com/publicapi/add?apikey=12345&application=Outlook&event=New%20message&description=" & Item.SenderName & ": " & Item.Subject

So far I have tried "\n" and "%5Cn", neither works.

Ideas anyone?

Can you use an HTTP proxy like Charles to grab the exact command being sent? My guess is you are over-encoding or under-encoding in either step.

I just found that there is an actual URLENCODE sequence for a line break, and that works like a charm:

Code: Select all

%0A
