401: API key is required

Postby AndY_rM » Thu Jul 19, 2012 3:29 pm

Hello,

I'm writing a module in Python that makes use of the Prowl service. The "add" method seems to work great, but "verify" always returns the same 401 error no matter what I do.

I'm using a urllib2 Request to post the request - urllib2.Request(url, urllib.urlencode(data), headers) - with data being a dictionary of parameter name -> value pairs (so, in the verify case, it would only contain 'apikey' -> 'the user's API key').

Am I missing something, or could it be an issue on Prowl's end?

Are you able to get a dump of the exact request you re GETing? Seeing the actual headers would be very helpful.

*facepalm*

I would be able to.. if I were actually sending a GET request!

It works, now that I'm doing it right. Thanks for nudging me in the right direction, zac. :)

Excellent work with Prowl, by the way!
