Dynamic "Custom URL" Redirection

Postby mrabbitt » Wed Feb 27, 2013 5:45 am

I use ProwlMail extensively, and was looking for a way to trigger a redirection to Pythonista which allows me to pass the text of the message as a parameter to a script in Pythonista. Ideally, I'd like to define a custom URL which looks something like this:

Code: Select all

pythonista://ScriptName?action=run&args="<DESCRIPTION>"

...and have Prowl dynamically replace <DESCRIPTION> with the URL-encoded text of the event description. I couldn't find any mention of such a feature in Prowl documentation or in these forums. If the message were generated via an API call, I could use the url parameter to set a dynamic URL at the time of the API call, but this is not an option with ProwlMail.

Is there a way to do something like this? If not, would it be possible to add this capability as part of a future release?

Thanks.

Michael
