Lost Styles with Growl Beta

Postby wolfneuralnet » Fri Sep 04, 2009 7:24 pm

When I installed the new beta 1.2 on SL, I seem to have lost a lot of the default styles, including Smoke.

Is there someplace I can download those separately, or any reason they didn't install properly with the new installer?

Thanks for any help!

PS - No errors in the install logs - I ran it again.

No and no. Try uninstalling Growl and reinstalling it.

Hmmm... Don't really want to install Rosetta just to run the uninstaller, which seems to require it.

Are there a list of folders/files to delete posted somewhere for a manual uninstall?

Thanks for the help...

EDIT: Uninstall/reinstall worked - thanks!

It seems to me there is a problem with the installer then. I had the same problem (except with Bezel, I got smoke). All I got as far as feedback when I said it wasn't in the installation was "Yes it is." When I uploaded a screenshot showing clearly that No, it wasn't, I got no response.

Perhaps, it is having issues replacing a style that is in use by a previous version of Growl.

[EDIT] Will the next beta have a non-Rosetta requiring Uninstall script?

Yes, we do plan to replace the uninstaller with a universal-binary version. In the meantime, you should be able to open it in AppleScript Editor and run it that way.
