Hi,
I'm receiving/answering mails via some Growl-forum, that is supposed to end up with the Growl-people, look at this, I wrote the first part: 'The answer...'. After that it's from Peter H, and someone else:

Because releasing something 10.6 compatible was a higher priority than
releasing an incomplete sparkle implementation

I've got Growl 1.1.6 running successfully on my OS X 10.4.11 G5.
Recently I've been getting a Growl that there's a new version of
Growl
available. Sounds great, I do the download and install. Boy was I
surprised to discover that the new version only works with OS X 10.5
or newer.

Now every day or so, I get a Growl that there's a newer version
waiting for me (but it's a version I can't use).

I finally had to shut "Check for updates automatically" off.

I've got no problem with progress, but why isn't the Growl smart
enough to know that the new version won't work on my Mac and not
waste
my time by Growling.

End copy.

I have tried a direct mail-option, but no luck, nor via Chris/Peter's web-site-mail-address.

- Chris/Peter, can you resolve this pickle?

You find me: christiansen dott terje at gmail dott com

I'm looking forward to your reply, Beff

I saw that message when you posted it on our discussion group, in response to another message on our discussion group.

If you're talking about a growl.info address, please tell us (privately) which one, because it looks like you're just talking about the discussion group.

Hi, Beff here,

I'm not sure. Actually I'm confused towards what is or not.
