I would like to upgrade my phone but want to make sure it won't break Prowl in the process. Can you confirm if Prowl works on IOS 7?
Thanks,
Brian
Compatible with IOS 7?
Re: Compatible with IOS 7?
Prowl works great on iOS 7. It doesn't use any of the new features (yet) that Apple introduced, but it works just as great on iOS 7 as it did on iOS 6.
Re: Compatible with IOS 7?
would be beeeeautiful if the app was updated with similar and fitting design for iOS 7
Re: Compatible with IOS 7?
I agree! I've been working on improving the backend—the new version is nearly complete actually; we're working on migrating existing data and verifying the API and such all still work—and following that I plan on doing an iOS 7-only release that will include all the awesome bells and whistles I think Prowl should have.
Re: Compatible with IOS 7?
Thanks for the replies. I upgraded to IOS 7 and Prowl is working like a champ!
Re: Compatible with IOS 7?
I have noticed that the custom sound alerts don't play and I get the general iPhone chime that all of my sound-on applications get. I hope this gets fixed in the upcoming revision

Re: Compatible with IOS 7?
I think I am seeing an issue with Prowl on iOS7. Since the upgrade from iOS6x to iOS7.03, the last prowl notification received is repeated upon unlocking my iPhone. This wasn't happening before iOS7.

Re: Compatible with IOS 7?
That's strange, and it's definitely a bug I've seen before.
My best guess is that the system is doing it. I have torn things inside and out trying to find a double-send from my server, but it really truly just looks like the system behaving weird.

Hi zac-
Thanks for the reply.
It really doesn't seem to me like a duplicate send from the server either, rather a re-notification at unlock on the iOS side. I have prowl set to Banner + Badge in the NC. Maybe its updating the badge count at unlock and throws up another banner at that time. It usually occurs 3 to 5 seconds after unlock if that helps any. So far, I think the badge count is correct but I will need to do some specific testing to verify that.
Prowl is the only app using push notifications that I have seen do this so far and I have plenty of other apps that are using the same notification settings on my iPhone so it is something peculiar to prowl on iOS7.

I too would like to know the status of this. iOS 7 has been out a long time now and iOS 8 isn't too far off.
