Hi! i'm using growl from a long time and I've never had any problem before yesterday. Yesterday I upgraded my logitech mouse's driver and growl have stopped to notificate me any event as it uses to do. I looked at the preferences panel and all the growl's settings are correct. I tried to unistall and reinstall it but nothing changed.
I can't stand any more without it! please help me

i'using Mac OS X 10.4.11 on a macbook core2duo.

Same problem here. Try uninstalling LCC and it should work again. Or wait for the next LCC update. It's a shame what Logitech has done there. But no Growl fault. So you should complain about it at Logitech's support.

Well... It IS caused by Logitech's drivers. So ged rid of them and all should work fine again.

I found the solution for that problem. Go to /Libary/InputManagers and delete the folder "LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader". This just "unenhances" the LCC scrolling and system scrolling is used. No bad thing, I think. Every other thing works fine and after logging out and on back again, Growl growls again. ;)

Out of curiosity - what does their "Scroll Enhancer" do, anyway?

The logitech stuff sucks in general. They install ape too, and screwed people who upgraded to 10.5.

They hid it in the drivers, the only indication that it's even present is that it shows up in the process list.

I know. And it doesn't show up in the processes. The release notes for 2.4 also say APE isn't needed and installed any longer.

Is Growl running? (This can be checked via Activity Monitor and the preference pane)

Are there applications listed in the Applications tab and are they properly configured to use Growl?

No, APE is absolutely not present anymore (only reason I'm giving LCC a try again). But I can't stand that it breaks Growl. Anyone else with a clue what removing "LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader" will do to those of us who might want all the features of our Logitch mice available?

To answer my own question, removing the "LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader" InputManager appears to do absolutely nothing — except allow Growl to work (I was also experiencing a scrolling bug in World of Warcraft which was fixed by this).

Thanks for this thread guys. I'm new to macs and growl, but I would have never known it was my logitech lcc scroll enhancer if it wasnt for happening upon this simple and effective solution. Heck, Logitech mouse drivers were one of the first things I loaded, so isolating that in troubleshooting would have been impossible. Worked for me; thanks again!

Thanks a lot for the tip. Just tested it and can confirm that it did the trick on my end. Didn't have to remove/reinstall either LCC nor growl. All is well, and I am forever grateful :)
