Re: Prowl 1.2 is now available
Thanks for the update. Just a quick idea - might it work well if you float the AppTitle to the left and the NoteName to the right in the title bar - then if they can both fit in on one line then the title bar doesn't appear so large. e.g. in this mock-up: (excuse the crudeness) http://bucket.monkeyf...

[Feature Request] iPhone App, cache data
Hi, Love Prowl, very useful. I spend a lot of time in a rural area where mobile coverage is spotty at best. Occasionally when out of range I will notice that I have unread Prowl notifications through the app icon badge. However, if one launches the app in that situation it simply says that you're no...

Re: [BugReport] Prowl 1.0.4 not displaying in Growl Prefpane
Hmm - managed to get it working again - there were two Prowl display plugins in the Growl App Support folder - Because I still had prowl 1.0.3 in my downloads folder when I downloaded Prowl 1.0.4 it was called prowl-1 - so it installed two parallel copies. Somehow this confused Growl prefpane. Remov...

[BugReport] Prowl 1.0.4 not displaying in Growl Prefpane
I get the following error when attempting to open the Prowl Display Options in the Growl Prefpane. You're right - on re-trying the username does not appear case-sensitive. Must have been a mistake on my part. Sorry.

[Feature Req] Display notifying host in iPhone app
Hi,
Im sure you're being deluged with feature requests - but I'll add my own anyway!
It might be worth displaying the name of the host that sent the notification in the iPhone app, as users may have Prowl set-up on multiple Growl-enabled machines.

[bug report] Username in 'Display Options' case-sensitive
Hello,
Great job on Prowl, very clever idea.
Just a quick note - in the Growl Prefpane, when you select the Prowl 'Display Options' the 'Prowl Username' is case-sensitive (at least it is when you check via the verify button.)
It appears that the username is not case-sensitive on the prowl website.

Re: Any possibility of a printing problem with HardwareGrowler?
Unlikely that it's HWG.
I've never heard of any similar issue. Sounds more like Office or the OS.
Sorry.

Hi,
You need to sign up for the XML API:
http://www.clickatell.com/developers/api_xml.php
You probably will need the updated plugin as well:

Re: Receive notifications from *another application*?
A bit of a hack - and probably not recommended - but you could use Notification Watcher to observe the pattern of Growl notifications in the NSDistributedNotification system. Your code could then observe Growl notifications based on your criteria using the NSDistributedNotification Class . Again - r...

Re: Feature Request: "Inactivity"-related
In case this helps - you can option-click the dismiss (x) control in any notification and it will dismiss all notifications.

Re: Custom AppleScript Folder Action (Growl Notification)
Adium uses the Objective-C interface to Growl which allows callbacks.
The AppleScript interface doesn't support them.

Re: A question regarding Growl SMS notification
OK, I've just managed to duplicate what you got. You signed-up for a free trial right? It appears that the free trial sends that message only. If you want to send your own messages you have to add some credit of your own. I suppose the trial is of the service's ability to deliver SMSes to your phone...

Re: Help! Hardware Growler sending tons of IOUSB Device alerts!
Just another guess -- perhaps it's a voltage/power issue: maybe something's drawing too much power thus causing the port/OS to do something odd. I really don't know enough about USB to give a definitive answer, but HardwareGrowler is really quite a simple app - all it does is get notified by the OS ...

Re: Help! Hardware Growler sending tons of IOUSB Device alerts!
HardwareGrowler doesn't check periodically - it is notified by the OS when USB devices become (un)available.
I'd guess that there may be a hardware issue with one of your USB ports. (Just a guess though.)

Re: disable boujour growl notifications
HardwareGrowler doesn't notify bonjour service discovery, and as The_Tick pointed out, neither does Growl itself. It must be another application which uses Growl to notify of Bonjour related events. How many apps do you have registered with Growl? i.e. how many apps are listed in the 'Applications' ...
