It is an issue with the Adium application of some kind, as I just get a Gaim error and a writing error when I try to connect to the MSN server.

Accessing MSN through a squid proxy

I am trying to access MSN through a squid proxy on port 3128, but I cannot connect to MSN. The proxy will allow communication through ports 80, 81 & 443. I can get on to AIM through port 443, so there shouldn't be a problem. aMSN does seem to be able to connect to MSN through the same proxy, so ...
