In the lower right of the transfer window you can change the number of allowed running transfers in parallel.

Edit the bookmark and reset the protocol back to FTP (File Transfer Protocol).

Apply permissions recursively should still work but you may need to refresh the directory listing to view the changes applied inside the directory.

The issue is a bug in the Sparkle Updater framework shipped with these older versions of Cyberduck. When checking the minimum system requirement it crashes. We have an issue with the mirroring of the download site. We now handle the traffic ourselves and the links should work again as a temporary measure.
