I opened a new message, selected 'Show Fonts', selected my font (verdana) and typed. the text was helvetica, and the selection in the font menu reverted to helvetica. i selected the text i just typed and selected verdana in the font menu. the text did not change. further typing remained in helvetica...

fixed it. opened the official aim client and discovered that my privact settings had somehow gotten set to only allow a specific list of contacts .. my list at the time. changed it back to 'allow all' and now all is well. i may have logged on with an older version of adium from a different computer ...

Any new contact that I add to my aim list shows up as offline. And when anyone tries to add me as a new aim contact, I show up as offline. I created a new AIM account, and added the same new contacts and it worked fine. I have about 50 contacts in my aim list. Anyone experienced anything like this b...
