I use Adium to talk on GoogleTalk. In the Preferences->Accounts->(myaccount)->Options tab, the "Display new email notifications" is greyed out, but checked. So every time I get a new email on GMail (which is often), I get a new little popup box telling me so. This is new behavior with Adiu...
