So the natural question now is: does anyone know if there is a plan to fix this issue or identify the bug in the future? Or is this just a fact of life when using a 3rd party IM client like this?

Just to note: Trillian (a Windows 3rd party client) works fine in the same circumstances.

Well my situation is very specific and it's clear to me that it's an issue with either GAIM or AdiumX. While at work I am able to send/receive files with ease while using iChat or the standard AIM client to/from any user in my building. When I run AdiumX I can send files with no issue, but I cannot ...
