yep and it did the exact same thing.

It runs English.

When I try checking that, it is completely blank.

What is the exact error message that the "preferences don't load"? It says something like "Preferences aren't avaliable for Adium" Could you please quote the exact error message? "Preferences are not available for adium" Just checked it and that's exactly what it says.

Ever since I upgraded to Leopard for Christmas, Adium refuses to work. When I click on it, it says the preferences doesn't load and when I look at other stuff like accounts or status it is blank like adium got damaged. I tried to get rid of the folder, cleared the cache, I did everything and it does...

I tried the suggestion you guys gave me in terminal and I still get the same problem. Adium reffuses to connect, it acts like it doesn't have any data, and i've upgraded to a bunch of different versions and it refuses to work. The adium support told me I needed to switch to a new account becuase it ...
