My guess is that this thread went to a dead end is that the Adium devs seem to have solved the issue in the 1.2.2 release. Thanks

For me it's both single and combined contacts. Actually I just combined one of the problematic ICQ-accounts with a GTalk account and updated the alias. After the first restart of Adium the contacts were uncombined. After combining, renaming and restarting once again the user stayed the way I'd like ...

I've had the same problems for quite some time, with earlier versions of OS X and Adium as well as now with OS X 10.5.1 and Adium v1.2.1. It has always been the same contacts which I've lost the alias information for (all of them MSN contacts). Until the latest Adium installation, now I'm losing ali...
