The only problem with this option is that you can sometimes hit cmd+q and quit the app. I thought this happened cause I was new to the mac keyboard last year but now, It happens more than half the time.

Ok, In another post, I asked if I could enable adium so that when i press the escape key, the chat window closes. I got a response that using cmd+w will close any window in mac. However, I sometimes hit cmd+q which closes the program.... more times than I like to admit that happens. I figured a way ...

Is there a way to close a chat window by setting a keystroke? I am used to my Trillian for pc when I am speaking with someone IM and am done by hitting esc, will close the current window I am in.

I don't have a firewall other than what is on my wireless linksys router. Don't see why that would all of a sudden stop it from working.

and just gmail.

Any other thoughts or ideas would be appreciated,

Yeah, It just started in what seems overnight.

Is there a reset to default setting in case I touched something?

My growl notification also stopped working too if that has anything to do with something I might have touched but highly unlikely.
