Bump. Any word on when 1.4.2 will be out, and if it will definitely fix this?

It appears that 1.4.1 does not resolve this issue. Could we at least get a checkbox in preferences to turn off this unneeded modification?

Since upgrading to the newest version of Adium (1.4) this morning, I've found that messages that are received when the window is in the background have a strange shaded background.
