Luckily I have a developer in my back pocket and he showed me what I was doing wrong, otherwise I probably would have given up. Question: The facebook fix says to set up a Jabber account to connect to facebook. Is this a temporary work around or the permanent way to connect to facebook?

Using Mac OS X 10.5.8 and the latest version of Adium (1.4.1) Followed Troubleshooting tips to reset preferences. Still no luck. Adium only crashes when I sign on to Facebook.
