Vienna uses Apple's standard network tools. There is no reason it should behave differently from other apps.

The discrepancy you have seen might have been caused by a cache issue somewhere. Did you retry after a reboot ?

Are some of the feeds fetched through an OpenReader server ? (like Inoreader, Bazqux…) If so, have you checked the situation on its web interface ?

Were you in vertical layout ? If so, might have to do with the columns configuration when you switch from one version to another.

We can investigate further if you are able to provide details on selected feed at the time. A copy of the preferences file would be very helpful.

Do you remember which version was used before ?

May be your preferences file is damaged ? The fact that the menu continues to show "View->Order By->Name" checked is not a good sign.
