Re: AppleScript: add the ability to make a folder
Many things need to be improved on Vienna's AppleScript support. A lot of functions advertised in the vocabulary do not work. It's worth working on this, but as for myself, I don't have time to spend on this in the near future. I am afraid it will be difficult to backport functional changes like thi...

Re: Bug: Hotkey Cmd-W Fails to Close Window
Double checking, I see that ⌘-W is assigned to “Close Tab”, which kinda make sense (I personally never use tabs in Vienna, and never close the main window). Safari actually uses the same set. Almost all applications supporting tabs do so (cf. Firefox, Chrome, Preview…) When a single tab is remainin...

Re: List icon question
Do you have the "Mark updated articles as new" option enabled in General preferences/settings ? If this is enabled, it should display a green ball (instead of the blue one) for updated articles. But this three stars symbol is quite surprising. Which versions of macOS and Vienna are you run...

Re: Regrression: Previous Tab does not go to last Tab starting v3.8.0
Hi, Thanks for noticing this. Can you confirm my understanding of the issue? 1/ the problem appears when you attempt to go from the first tab (the "Articles" tab) to the last one by using the "Window->Previous Tab" menu item (or its keyboard equivalent Command-Option- ⬅︎ ) 2/ sim...

Hi,
- Quit Vienna.
- Enter a Terminal window.
- Paste the following command, and complete by hitting the Enter key:
This should reset it to the default value (LucidaGrande 11).
I hope this helps.

Re: Uses Vienna its own hosts file, or none?
Vienna uses Apple's standard network tools. There is no reason it should behave differently from other apps.

Re: Pictures don't display
Hello, I am not sure I fully understand what is your intent and what you are trying. As explained by @sandstrom, in the feed itself, the only images are defined as "enclosures" (see the specifications ), which are similar to attachments in an e-mail. Enclosures may have various types : the...

Re: Need reports about version 3.8.0
I've always put Vienna in a subfolder with path "/Applications/Internet & Réseau/RSS/Vienna.app" and I've just found that this doesn't happen when it's placed in /Applications or a subfolder with no special character in its path (/Applications/Multimedia/Montage/ for example). I'm sti...

Re: Need reports about version 3.8.0
That's odd... I'm running 10.13 and Vienna only finds update 3.7.4. (and it didn't auto-update. Only found 3.7.4 when I clicked 'check for update') I use Vienna every day and the only notice I had was the errors listed in the Vienna Support RSS-feed. Seems logical, we reset the default version to b...

Need reports about version 3.8.0
We have published two new versions of Vienna : 3.7.4 (for OS X 10.11) and 3.8.0 (for macOS 10.12 or later) Due to the problem reported at https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss/issues/1592 , we changed back our recommendation from 3.8.0 to 3.7.4 We apologize for any inconvenience. However, we would...

Re: Vienna 3.7.1 and memory usage
My observations : it seems that main causes of the increase of memory consumption are related to : - fetching newer articles - opening articles and links in tab - most notably, marking articles read Activity Monitor will not immediately reflect that Vienna is able to release the memory it uses. But ...

Hi,
Are some of the feeds fetched through an OpenReader server ? (like Inoreader, Bazqux…) If so, have you checked the situation on its web interface ?

Re: Vienna 3.6.1 bug report
Were you in vertical layout ? If so, might have to do with the columns configuration when you switch from one version to another.
We can investigate further if you are able to provide details on selected feed at the time. A copy of the preferences file would be very helpful.

Re: Cannot manually sort subscriptions
May be your preferences file is damaged ? The fact that the menu continues to show "View->Order By->Name" checked is not a good sign.
