Adam, watch this animated GIF. It's zoomed to 200% and loops so you can see the differences. If you're using PithHelmet or OmniWeb, be sure to allow animated GIFs.

If you set up port forwarding and open the firewall, it should work. Ports 5190-5200. Except on wireless hotspots and except when you use more than one computer. You can't get a university to forward ten ports to your computer nor is it convenient to change the port forwarding at home every time yo...

If you or the recipient are running being either a firewall or a router with NAT, you're probably SOL.

As far as I know, a fix for this isn't anywhere on the radar. You may just have to fire up the real AIM or iChat to transfer files. That's what I do.

I assume this is also related to why "SubProfile" links in profiles do not work for Adium users, right? I have one or two buddies whose links just beep with I click them or when I choose Open Link from the context menu. I believe those links use the %n also. Upon first glance, it appears that the pr...

Interesting. It may be related, but I can copy normal text just fine.

Oh, and I just sent in another crash report. ;)

Well, copying the link works fine on my other Mac. Does that mean it's probably a profile issue? *shrug* I don't feel like trashing it and slogging through all the preferences again now, though. Maybe later. Still... what would be in the Application Support folder that could possibly interfere with ...

Crash on "Copy Link to Clipboard"

I've sent in several crash reports on this one lately. I'd hoped 0.77 might fix it, but it hasn't and I just sent another crash report from it. If I right-click on any link in a chat and choose Copy Link to Clipboard, Adium crashes, failing to copy anything. Simple as that. 100% reproducible on my P...

Same here, exactly what soulatrium said. I don't have anywhere close to 200 contacts.

As I recall, this has been a bug for a long time, but it's still just as much a pain in the ass. This is one of the only reasons I keep the official AOLIM client handy.

Basically, it doesn't work quite the way we want, and we're planning on fixing it properly eventually... and then it broke while working on other things, and nobody on the dev team has taken the effort to fix it, and nobody has sent us a patch which fixes it... Thanks evands. :) That helps a lot mo...

You're a little misinformed about Cocoa and Carbon. Both can take advantage of pretty much the same feature set in Mac OS X. It's just that usually it's easier to do it in Cocoa. There are cases where it's better to program in Carbon over Cocoa; so, don't just dismiss Carbon apps too quickly. Apple ...

Weird, I already had one without creating one :D *points up* :P or had it from a really, really old version of Adium. The problem here is that this file does not exist unless you copied it from someone else or had it from a really, really old version of Adium.
