List icon question
A whole bunch of postings have been showing up as modified recently, with an icon consisting of three yellow stars instead of the usual blue ball. Hovering over it does nothing, the "Vienna Help" menu choice has no apparent effect, and the FAQ doesn't discuss what the icons mean. What does...

Vienna 3.5.9 hang on particular feed
Feed is legalinsurrection.com. Full HTML article display is on. On maybe 10% of the postings (I suspect it's caused by random ad content, so takes some effort to replicate), Vienna goes into eternal beachball immediately upon loading page. Once, the hang was so hard it could not be force quit succes...

Suggestion: per-subscription sorting behavior
Most of my subscriptions are news sites, which I leave listed in date-sorted format. But a few subscriptions are particularly active support forums, which are impossible to follow intelligently unless sorted by thread subject. In Apple Mail, the sorting behavior is associated with the individual mai...

Re: 'Your browser is set to incognito mode"
I came here today to report this problem, only to find I had already reported it, and apparently no one had anything to offer in the meanwhile. Really?

'Your browser is set to incognito mode"
Some of my RSS feeds are news blogs that contain links to online MSM news articles. Often when I follow one of these links inside Vienna, I get a content-blocking page claiming, "Your are using a browser set to private or incognito mode." If I click on the same link with "Open link in...

Re: Does Google hate Vienna?
To clarify, this is specifically Google's captchas (click the appropriate choices out of nine pictures, many of which may refresh and need to be rechecked), not captchas in general, others of which don't exhibit any problems in Vienna.

Re: Does Google hate Vienna?
I have JavaScript enabled; I see no preference for Java at all. And the problem has nothing to do with Google accounts, which I do not use. I am talking solely about Google captchas, used by various blogs to control spam posts. When I am using Vienna to access these blogs, I am routinely harassed to...

Does Google hate Vienna?
Whenever I use Vienna to post a comment to a blog that uses Google captchas, I am presented with anywhere from two to a dozen "try agains," the average being five or six. The behavior where Google says instead, "I know who you are, go right on through" I see only about once a mon...

Re: In new update do not work recaptcha
Seriously, any chance of getting this fixed? 3.5.2 still has this bad behavior. It seriously limits the Vienna experience to have a pane just drop dead. This used to work with no problems, it should be able to work again.

Memory leak
Installed the Vienna update yesterday at 6 PM. Came back to my MacBook Pro (Sierra) first thing this morning to find all application memory exhausted, and Vienna was king of the hill. I think we're going to need another Timmy.

#metoo.
Click the Google recaptcha box, and it spins for 15 seconds or so, then returns to initial state. Impossible to get past.

Re: Video plays from deleted tab
So does this posting qualify as "reporting the bug," or is there somewhere else I need to file it to make it an action item? I'm asking because by now I would have expected to see at least an acknowledgment of the problem from the management, but I've seen nothing here but "me too&quo...

Video plays from deleted tab
I've had this happen several times, so I'm sure it's a bug. I've tried to duplicate it manually, but as yet have not been successful. Some blog posting that comes up in Vienna has a link to a YouTube video. I click on it and watch the video. At the end of the video, YouTube shows me a countdown cloc...

Any cookie control?
Is there any way to delete cookies collected by Vienna's internal browser? I couldn't find any mention of cookies at the help site or on this forum, except for a brief mention of the use of cookies by sites that require login authentication.

Re: Article lists are out of control
Yes, it sounds very much like what that fellow is seeing. But I'm already running 3.16, and this problem started either in it or in the immediately previous release. I found the Reindex Database control and selected it a few times... it doesn't have any obvious effect or even a delay when I select i...

Re: Article lists are out of control
So as somebody who just uses Vienna, and not a debug geek, what do I do about that? A related symptom is that the left-hand column will show (say) three new article in the blue circled number... as I read the articles and the blue dots disappear from the article titles, the number in the left hand c...

Article lists are out of control
Vienna 3.1.16 :891d05ea: has UI problems. Click on a feed in the left column, and half the time the list of articles comes up blank. Click away and click back, and there is the list of articles. Do it again, there is a 50% chance it works again or it's blank again. Also, it's bringing back articles ...

Unjamming the status string
Often I hover over a link in an article to see where it goes, only to have the status bar overwritten with the string, "Article load completed." It would be nice if this advisory were to be suppressed if the status bar is in actual use at the time. Thanks.

Re: Old messages show as changed every day
I found the checkbox to which you refer, but it is, in fact, unchecked already. Meanwhile, the green dots showed up again today, as always. Thanks for the tip, but the problem must be something else.
