Also, if it's any easier, you can get info from the message window's toolbar too.

It is possible to lock just the user's keychain with the passwords and not lock the entire computer. That way you can still use the computer and all, just not the stored passwords. I assume you will be prompted to unlock the keychain with its password if you try to use a stored password while it is ...

My screenshot. I think the contact list is a slightly modified iPhoto style combined with something else if I recall correctly. Usually the names are in "First, Last" form, but it's a screenshot, so yeah. The message view is a modified version of the "Blue Names" variant of "Chameleon". I took out ...

Another interesting feature that could be added is to prevent it. I suppose if when I'm about to talk to someone Adium still sends the typing notification to the other person's computer. You could have it as an option (I know, I know - NO MORE EXTRA PREFERENCES, etc.) to not send typing notification...

That looks really great. If you don't mind sharing it I would even use it for a bit to see if I like it. The only odd thing is the check boxes, maybe the little triangle in a circle from iTunes (to link to the music store) could be used instead. Checkboxes look a bit odd. Otherwise that's really gre...

Someone before said the modifications aren't listed. GPL requires that. Also it is required to have the source code available. If there have been modifications made it is no longer the same source as is in SVN and will need the source available including modifications. I realize most people are just...

Screenshot

The background is a picture I took a while ago. The message view is a slightly modified Chameleon. The contact list is iPhoto as a color theme and Light Rain as a list layout, but I have a feeling I modified one or both of those.

0.89.1 here. Tried 1.0 but 10.3.9 wouldn't do it. Actually managed to get it to start but it yelled some warnings at me about an somethings that were supposed to be strings but were an array, a change in XCode 2.2 since Panther or something. Stupid errors.

For now is it not possible to use the hex ASCII code with a leading percent sign for an equals sign instead? Much like a %20 automatically replaces a space in a URL? Then again I'm not sure if that works or what an equals sign's ASCII code is. Maybe someone with a little more knowledge could explain...

Personally I've only really used iChat for a short while before using Adium. I downloaded Fire, took a look at it, and proceeded to trash it. About the "being able to choose a style from a set of pre-made options" post above, sounds great. I was kinda bored, I made a mock-up. I ust took the Quicksil...

it's a non-breaking space. In code, a space usually is just considered whitespace not an actually a space so you have to specifically tell it to put a space in.

I haven't actually used Portable Adium, but by just looking here it looks like it uses the defaults command to change Adium's prefrence folder to a different place. But what I can't tell is if it is changed back on exit.

Future-dated articles not in "Today's Articles"

I realize there's another future-dated article thread, but this isn't quite the same thing though. If there's a future-dated article it won't in "Today's Articles". While technically not a bug, I'll look and notice I've got a new unread article, look at "Today's Articles" and not find it, only to re...

1. Click and drag the contact to another group. If you've got a borderless window contact list you also have to hold down the command (apple) key so you don't move the window. 2. The standard (bordered) window has your name at the top. If you've got the borderless view though, just add your self to ...

For the most part xtras are just folders with a plist file in them linking to the other files also in the folder. To see a bit of what I mean, go to a pre-existing xtra, right-clik it, and select "Show Package Contents". Scripts are just AppleScripts put in these "folders" a special way. To make you...

I don't know how much of the mockups are being implemented (or if at all hardly) but in the contact-list-replacement Safari-bookmarks-like menu, I noticed it shows surprisingly little information. Of course idle time and such will probably be shown below in the actual version if this is actually use...
