I think I found the issue. I have Netbarrier X4 running on both machines, and it was the firewall settings that prevented 'communication'... All sorted now. Thanks !

More info on this problem : forcing apps to re-register with Growl made the messages also show up on the other Mac, but after a while that ceased to work again...

Any suggestions ?

Making it work one way doesn't make any difference... the stickies just won't show up...
