my 3 pm SuperDuper! run went fine, received the growl email. so, if all goes well the 5 am run should perform the same way. i may do some manual backups if i need to today but otherwise i don't think i will run anymore tests and instead will see what tomorrow brings. i do think it has to do with a s...

Did the SuperDuper! run. It went fine, received Growl confirmation email, etc. Reset the SuperDuper! settings for another autorun at 3pm, simulating the conditions of my daily 5am run. Will report back after that. Also did a MailMe preview test and it went perfectly well.

Well, bad news today. No email and no record of run by SuperDuper! - it doesn't show up in the log.

I am going to do another trial run now. This time it may have to do with the SuperDuper! settings themselves. Just when I thought everything was working swell!

1) Yes

2) Yes, and how it got there I have no idea.

It wasn't my fault! :)

And who knows if the logging out and in again didn't fix *something*.

Thank you again for all your help.

And, in the erstwhile I have transmogrified into a Muffin!

Logging out/in also got rid of that pesky white icon both from the desktop and from within the harddrive as an ejectable disk. I don't like it when programs show up in that list. And I don't think it is supposed to because Growl is running just fine now, from all I can see.

Well, guess what? Not only did logging out and coming back in restore the Recipient box to the display option for MailMe but when I checked my email I had about half a dozen emails generated by clicking the preview button in the box even tho it displayed no address! so, now the thing to do would be ...

the good news is that the preference pane is where it should be and it IS in the stand alone library folder, not where it was before, the library folder within the OSX system folder.

hey, can you tell yet that i am not a software programmer? :)

Mr Tick, I am caught on step #13. When I go into Display Options and click on the MailMe Display the window says No Display Preferences. Also, on the desktop now I have two things. Growl-0.7.4.dmg which is the disk image and a white disky looking thing that says Growl, is a 9.4 mb volume and is repe...
