There is an automator action in the SVN repo. So yes, automator support is coming.

The other feature ideas sound interesting. File a new ticket if you want.

QS notifies if you use it to switch Network Locations.

I think it notifies of plugin one-click installation too - but not 100% sure.

Anything in the console when you open System Prefs?

Could you check your ~/Library/PreferencePanes/ and /Library/PreferencePanes/ directories, and check that the Growl.prefpane is still there?

Hmm - I didn't find the install too complicated -- just 'make' and sudo 'make install'. (Then un-comment the Mac OS X modem line in the conf. file) - It claimed you had to install TCL - but I found that was unnecessary. I have a 1GHz PowerBoook g4 - about two years old now - and the CallerID doesn't...

Hmmm - Interesting. I compiled and installed ncid out of curiosity - I already have an Ovolab Phlink (It's more flexible - but it's not exactly cheap.) Here's my result: host-212-158-229-85:~/Incoming/Web/ncid diggory$ ncidd -Dv Configured to send 'cidlog' to clients. Configured to send 'cidinfo' to...

Hmm - not sure what happened there - I think a missing newline.

Try downloading again (from the same link as above.)

Hmm - sorry about that - the Snak script was out of date.

You can get an up to date version here:

The second parameter to the initialiser is a list - not a a string.

so you might want

Code: Select all

x = Growl.GrowlNotifier("Demo",["One"])

I'm totally in the dark about python - but I'm reliably told by a dev in the IRC channel that 'noteType is the name of one of the notifications registered' So I'd assume that it's a string - or whatever python uses for strings. You can see the page on the python bindings here: http://growl.info/docu...

The preview function is already in the process of being added.

I don't think there are any 3rd party displays (yet.)

The script sends a growl notification when you get a new email.

I don't have entourage X - only 2004 - so can't test with your version.

Hi,

That's odd - the script works for me once it is moved to a fresh file.

try downloading this file:
http://diggory.net/grazing/growl/Entour ... vanced.zip

and see if it works better.

p.s. are you using Entourage 2004?

Weird - try copying the contents of the script into a new empty script, then use that script.
