Got it... apparently, the dock icon I had was the culprit, since it was in constant motion. I switched it with a static dock icon and that was that.

Tried eliminating transparency and gradients from my contact list colors... processor is still freaking out. It seems that had absolutely no effect whatsoever. Thanks for your suggestions anywho...
