Now I see!

This seems to be related to my "slow transfer" thread here: http://forums.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?t=11479 I also tried tweaking the buffer size, at 512 kb it worked fine and my speed went up from some 25 to 100 kB/s. Beyond that, at 1024 kb buffer I didn't see much speed improvement, ...

Some ideas:

First idea: No need to SHOUT! Other ideas: Are you getting any error messages? Things like "Server not found", "Authentication error", "Transfer failed", "Timed out"? Please provide details. What actually fails, connecting to server or transferring file...

Should work!

I'm not familiar with Photobucket, but their FAQ page says they support ftp, so any ftp client including Cyberduck should do. The FTP settings for use with other FTP programs are: host address: ftp.photobucket.com port: 21 username: your Photobucket username password: your Photobucket password direc...

Don't worry, Vic, these things happen even to seasoned veterans.

I remember a frustrated customer unable to access our anonymous ftp server. After I ran out of ideas what could be going wrong, I found that he was misspelling "anonymous"...

Re: Transfer speed question

Same here. [...] Cyberduck transfers data with a meager 21kB/s speed. Good to hear that I'm not the only one with this problem! In the meantime, I tried to use Transmit, Fetch, OS X command-line sftp and Fugu (which I understand wraps the OS X CL), they all perform consistently - and much better th...

I'm quite new to Cyberduck, I noticed some config changes in 2.7.2 though - number of connections gone from the Advanced tab etc. However the 2.7.2 still works for me.

What protocol are you using? Are you able to connect from the command line ftp/sftp or using another GUI client?

Separate connections?

Cyberduck by default opens one connection for its Browser and then another connection for each transfer. Thus servers which limit the number of connections will report problems. I just looked into the Preferences - under Transfers/General there is a "Transfer Files:" option. Try selecting ...

Transfer speed question

I'm fairly new to Mac and Cyberduck. When using SFTP with Cyberduck I'm getting really low transfer rates (around 25 kB/s). When using WinSCP in Parallels I get 150 kB/s (same machine, same internet connection, same time, same server). Anybody has an idea what can be wrong? I haven't changed any Pre...
