The unified button should be just under the texture button. You do have to have Xcode 2.0 and associated tools installed though.

You can set it to use 4.0 or 3.3

ImaSudonim: Not sure on your exact problem, but doing a clean rebuild can sometimes fix issues, as can updating (yesterday, for example, 0.9svn source wasn't compiling for a while).

Unfortunately, this isn't currently possible. I filed http://trac.adiumx.com/ticket/122 for future reference.

Should be fine. I installed them anyway, so I don't know for sure, but I don't think it depends on any particular SDK right now.

The crash is related to applescript. Do you have any scripts that you're using? Possibly in your profile?

This is a known issue that affects some people, and there's a bug report tracking it. No ETA on a fix, but hopefully in the fairly near future. The workaround is to unblock using the official client (which is a pretty nasty workaround, so fixing this is a fairly high priority).

It'll disconnect other versions of iChat as well. No idea why Apple decided to do that.
