Anybody know of a way to export one's current buddy list to a file (say, containing all the usernames/aliases currently on the list)? In my case, I'm looking for something for AIM and Jabber.

Really? It must be a mindset I developed from old versions of Gaim where they wouldn't be, or something.

I have a general idea of how the system works as a result of using it often, but don't know the code underneath. I've done some programming on other projects, but have no idea how Adium nor Gaim are laid out.

Perhaps a menu item should be added somewhere so that users can more easily find this feature (and stop nagging you guys ;)). Though I have no idea where it would be appropriate.. Perhaps within the "Add Contact" window? It could be possibly done with a modified version of the "Add to...

Yeah, it's one of the main reasons I prefer using AIM through a transport rather than directly. Any idea how easily this could be added?

When I set an alias to a user, that alias is not saved to the server.
If I reopen Adium, it'll know the alias because it's cached locally, but if I open another Jabber client, the alias information set in Adium will not appear.

I am using 0.76.
