You sure? Aren't they fairly dependent on Cocoa calls and Adium-specific calls? I mean, I'm sure some will, but certainly not all. Check out Apple's Universal Binary Programming Guidelines . On page 68, it talks about how plugins and the main app must both be built for the same architecture. So bot...

Manually, yes. (Type it all back in again or copy + paste)
Wow, I'm going to have to write that one down. ;)

There's no need to be a markup snob if this is going into a LiveJournal page :) :o I was just trying to justify cheating with the <br> after my little speech about semantics. I'm sure the correct way to do it would be to use <cite> tags for the screen names, paragraphs for each line of the conversa...

Well, you might want to be a little bit of a markup snob and use <br /> so that it validates as XHTML. (Some LiveJournal templates don't declare a DOCTYPE, but the newer ones - and their homepage - appear to use XHTML 1.0 Transitional.) Hm. Yeah, I couldn't quite figure that out. I looked at a few ...

Tried it, got <p> <span class="sender">andjosephsaid: </b>unless you're busy</p> I tried it too...works just fine. Using Perl syntax, with all the options unchecked? Make sure you also either start from the beginning of the document, or have the "Wrap Around" box checked. TextWr...

it's just ghetto html/xhtml/whatever. Shouldn't the almighty safari and mozilla based browsers pick it up?! Eh? What's ghetto? The logs? Anyway, to actually answer the OP's question, I think this'll pretty much do the trick. Pop the HTML to be converted into SubEthaEdit, and bring up the Find dialo...

yes, it can.. but im trying to teach the correct way to do things :) What's the difference? The difference is in the actual meaning ("semantics") of the tag, not in its appearance. I have a feeling you suggested <b> because you like to talk, but ironically enough, <b> is more correct here...

I think everyone understands what you mean, but the question is why? What does an IM application have to do with any of those statistics? What makes a readout of your current CPU usage belong in Adium?

Besides, everyone knows the only useful system monitor is iPulse. ;)

What's this about no spaces now? I'm confused.

When you compile, AppleScript puts spaces between arguments to handlers.

My understanding is that you can charge for distribution and for support, but the source to the program has to be remain available free of charge (and I think the moral way to understand that is that you can't charge for source code distribution, either). Yeah, looks that way. Check out the GPL FAQ...

Favorite Undocumented Features

What are your favorite undocumented features of Adium? I figured we could, you know, document them. I'd steer clear of things that are only partially implemented or features that are only in SVN builds. Things like: Sending LaTeX-formatted messages with Equation Service installed Press option-up to ...

Custom fonts and colors are broken in .7x . They are not settable reliably from the interface, they do not display reliably or send reliably even after manually creating a formatting.plist file. Thanks. That's all I wanted to hear. There are 10 times as many threads that say "Creating Formatti...

 here's the old Formatting.plist talk again… Hm? There are a few threads which say that editing a file called Formatting.plist, and setting your font preferences in there, will fix the problem. Only thing is, for me, it doesn't. No matter what the plist says, and no matter what combination of...

If I may be so bold, what is the reasoning for making registration required for AppleScripts? Having the option is nice since it allows you to make changes easily through the prefpane, but it seems like a hassle to register for quick or temporary scripts. Also, when I try to fix my old scripts, they...

hi, i would like to know if there is a way to save conversations like MSN or AIM allows? I tried searching in the forum and even the help for it, but to no avail. Help?
