You sure? Aren't they fairly dependent on Cocoa calls and Adium-specific calls? I mean, I'm sure some will, but certainly not all. Check out Apple's Universal Binary Programming Guidelines . On page 68, it talks about how plugins and the main app must both be built for the same architecture. So bot...

There's no need to be a markup snob if this is going into a LiveJournal page :) :o I was just trying to justify cheating with the <br> after my little speech about semantics. I'm sure the correct way to do it would be to use <cite> tags for the screen names, paragraphs for each line of the conversa...

Well, you might want to be a little bit of a markup snob and use <br /> so that it validates as XHTML. (Some LiveJournal templates don't declare a DOCTYPE, but the newer ones - and their homepage - appear to use XHTML 1.0 Transitional.) Hm. Yeah, I couldn't quite figure that out. I looked at a few ...

it's just ghetto html/xhtml/whatever. Shouldn't the almighty safari and mozilla based browsers pick it up?! Eh? What's ghetto? The logs? Anyway, to actually answer the OP's question, I think this'll pretty much do the trick. Pop the HTML to be converted into SubEthaEdit, and bring up the Find dialo...

I think everyone understands what you mean, but the question is why? What does an IM application have to do with any of those statistics? What makes a readout of your current CPU usage belong in Adium?monkz wrote:i mean as a plugin...

My understanding is that you can charge for distribution and for support, but the source to the program has to be remain available free of charge (and I think the moral way to understand that is that you can't charge for source code distribution, either). Yeah, looks that way. Check out the GPL FAQ...

So both people need to have adium and LaTeX installed? I can think of a lot of times I would have liked to use this. Wow Check out this thread . I tried it a while back, and it seemed that all the transformations were done locally on the receiving side, but it looks like I was mistaken. According t...

I did not know about these features. Good! Then the thread is working :) Could you talk more about this feature? I know nothing of LaTeX or the Equation Service LaTeX is a typesetting language, and it's especially useful for math. For example, this: $$-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac} \over 2a$$ makes the qu...

Favorite Undocumented Features
What are your favorite undocumented features of Adium? I figured we could, you know, document them. I'd steer clear of things that are only partially implemented or features that are only in SVN builds. Things like: Sending LaTeX-formatted messages with Equation Service installed Press option-up to ...

 here's the old Formatting.plist talk again… Hm? There are a few threads which say that editing a file called Formatting.plist, and setting your font preferences in there, will fix the problem. Only thing is, for me, it doesn't. No matter what the plist says, and no matter what combination of...
If I may be so bold, what is the reasoning for making registration required for AppleScripts? Having the option is nice since it allows you to make changes easily through the prefpane, but it seems like a hassle to register for quick or temporary scripts. Also, when I try to fix my old scripts, they...

Re: saving conversations
hi, i would like to know if there is a way to save conversations like MSN or AIM allows? I tried searching in the forum and even the help for it, but to no avail. Help? In Preferences->Messages, there's an option to log all messages. The logs are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Us...
