Do you have your dock icon set to bounce on newly recieved messages? It seem as though a typing notification is not very useful unless that typing turns into a new message - for which there are very noticable notifications available for when Adium is in the background. Perhaps I'm missunderstanding...

I've not looked at the source, so I don't know how straightforward this would be to implement, but I'd like to have the typing notification show up in the menu bar icon if possible. I'm thinking maybe have the eyes go blue when typing notification has been received similar to the way they go red whe...
