I'm pretty sure that you have to delete them manually. In the Finder, navigate to Home (your username) > Library > Application Support > Adium > Plugins and delete or drag-n-drop whatever you don't need.

Any progress on this? The site still seems to be rejecting archives over 2MB. This is problematic especially for soundset designers; some of the best sound sets are well over 2MB (Orchestral and Drumline crn come to mind). Also, it's misleading when the sidebar claims a 5MB maximum limit on Xtras.

Has there been a change to the maximum file size limit on the AdiumXtras site? The manage/edit Xtra page states that the maximum file is 5MB, but it appears that it's rejecting files over 2MB.
