Re: Yet Another Contact List Anomaly
Also, is the information for metacontacts stored in an Adium file, created on the fly, or part of the Address Book? If I wanted to reset my metacontacts, how would I do that? If they are stored somewhere within Adium, I would have thought that deleting the Application Support folder would have reset...

Re: Yet Another Contact List Anomaly
Okay, so I turned off nicknames and such so it will be easier to follow. Here is what the contact list looks like when it starts up: http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/6640/picture1yy2.png Here is what it looks like after I toggle view with Shift + Command + H to correct the issue: http://img93.imag...

Re: Yet Another Contact List Anomaly
Indeed, I gathered that from the similar bug in Trac. Turning off metacontacts does, in fact, immediately fix the problem. However, what is odd in my case is that I don't have any metacontacts. All my contacts have a single AIM screen name associated with the Address Book. I can make no rhyme reason...

Re: Yet Another Contact List Anomaly
Nope. Same thing. I've even tried deleting the Adium folder from Application Support, the cache, and the preferences and starting over. Same problem. I think it may have something to do with some kind of embeded information in the contact list stored on the AOL servers. That is, there is some kind o...

Yet Another Contact List Anomaly
So, I've had this since somewhere in the 1.2 beta branch. Not sure where exactly. I have the same problem on two machines. I only have one AIM account that I use with Adium, and all contacts are AIM contacts. I've looked, but haven't seen anything quite like this. Perhaps someone can direct me there...

Encryption is ALWAYS on during Direct Connet
I've had this weird problem with Adium and AIM for some time now. Basically, whenever someone direct connects with me to send me a picture or some such (usually other people not using Adium), it turns encryption on and they start seeing gibberish until I close out the session and open a new one. I c...

I believe this has to do with AIImageViewWithImagePicker. I may be wrong though, just a guess. Since AIImageViewWithImagePicker is disabled (or non-existent) on 10.5, applications which used it (ie. Adium), now have that functionality disabled. That's the full size of your Buddy Icon, right? It's no...

Secure Empty Trash of Adium.app Takes Forever—Why?
Strange question, but I'm curious. I've gotten into the habit of using Secure Empty Trash and whenever Adium updates itself, it throws the old version into the trash. When I empty the trash, it takes FOREVER. Like 5-10 minutes. I can't figure out why. It's really strange. I was wondering if anyone c...

I highly doubt that there will ever be Skype integration with any app other than Skype. Skype works over an encrypted P2P network, all other networks (AFAIK) work via a centralized/direct sever/client connections. At the very least, to be able to access the Skype network you'd need the encryption ke...

Adium v1.0.2 Startup Screen (First Run)
I just installed v1.0.2, and I noticed that there doesn't seem to be an option anywhere in the preferences to change the settings on the first run splash screen. If you say "yes" to checking for updates every time you run Adium, how might you go about setting that option to "no"?...
