In the screenshot, you can see that the contact actually has a screen name (Junfeng) but in the message window, their MSN email is displayed instead. Or did I get it wrong?

The windows version of MSN messenger has a feature that lets you add customized emoticons. And your buddy is able to see them even if they don't have the same emoticons installed.

I am wondering if the devs of Adium have any plan on implementing this feature.

It would really be great to change the screen name in a more convenient way, since I do this all the time. It'd also be great to have the screen name synced with the server. I use two Macs and I somehow want the change on one computer reflected on the other one as well.

In the message windows, my own screen name is displayed. but for my buddy, the id is showed instead. It's 0.8b6, but it was the same in 0.77. I am using MSN. Haven't tried other services though. I tried different message window style, all the same. Not a serious issue, not sure if I missed something...
