Try to connect via finder. (Go->Connect To Server).
I dont have any ideas but I'm just curius to know if we are having the exact same problem.

Samething happened to me when connecting to a windows drive opened as ftp sometime ago. I Never could solved that but in that case there was'nt a router in the way, so maybe it has'nt anything to do w/ it.

Get te lastest release.
All of that (The transfer window, and the accept pop up) is solved now.
