I am having the same problem as well, started yesterday. I'm not sure what's going on but it signed me out automatically and asked for my password. I tried iChat but it told me: "The AIM server has temporarily limited your account due to too much activity - try again in a few minutes" I am using 1.0...

VC1/WMV9 Advanced Profile codec support

MPlayer and VLC nightly builds have added this, i believe it is part of FFMpeg or something like that.

Any possibility of adding this to Perian in the future? Here is an example video if you need to test it or see what it takes to add support.

Thanks

I am not using a WebKit style, I use Smoke as my default (and Music Video for a few certain applications). Here is a screenshot showing how high the memory usage gets on Intel at times: http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/2764/picture1qk1.png I have absolutely no problems on my iMac G5 - Growl uses j...

The Spotlight importer thing causes Growl to use MUCH more RAM on Intel. It uses more then twice as much real memory on my MacBook then my iMac G5. In fact, it is using more memory then any other app on my Mac aside from Safari! If it really is a simple fix, please throw it up somewhere... even an u...

It would be nice to have an RSS feed for the Perian homepage to keep up on new releases and development.

Thanks

Happens to me too.

Only saw it happen on one contact though so far, on the AIM service and the latest beta. MSN contact icons load fine for me but AIM ones seem to have a bunch of problems (a lot of them don't even download at all for me).

This error happens to me on MSN, I can reproduce it every time in the beta: 1. Send a message to another MSN contact 2. Really quickly close the window after sending (cmd-w) The conversation window will then immediately open back up with the error "Could not send; a connection error occurred." - But...

Change status when certain contact logs on?

Hi, I want to be able to automatically change my status to "Away" when a certain contact signs on. I don't see a way to do this currently (I went to get info (on the specific contact) > events tab > contact sign on), but I assume it is possible with the "Run an Applescript" event. Is anyone good at ...

There was a preference for automatically clearing completed file transfers before, but it was removed in 1.0 for some reason. I would like to see it come back personally. Quit confirmation message when file transfers are in progress has been added in the beta (http://trac.adiumx.com/changeset/15624)...

I believe you can change this in: Preferences > Appearance > Color Theme (click "Customize"). Then go to the Events tab.

Just wanted to add I have only ten contacts on my AIM sn (an aim fight score of 514), and I have been able to connect fine using 1.0b8.

So the theory of it affecting people with bigger buddy lists is probably true.

If it matters at all, I have been signed into AIM for over 2 hours now without one disconnect (using 1.0b8 and 10.4.7/Intel). The only problem that I still have regarding AIM is the buddy icons not downloading.

So I don't think this is happening to everybody.

Very nice! Can you post the files (and contact list styles or whatever) please? I'll ask around for the bottom icons, so far I have the screen sharing one. Person who sent it to me reformatted the Mac however so I'm not sure I can get the rest. Also the icons in Leopard are in PDF format (and big, I...

It's a shame what happened to Proteus after Justin left. The new developers just did not care. Not one release was on time (in fact they were months late), most bugs would be ignored, etc. All I heard from them was excuse after excuse, and personally I don't buy any of it - even if you are extremely...

The new iChat looks great. My favorite feature is the screen sharing, but everything else is good too. I like the move to unified as well. iChat supports Jabber. Jabber supports transports that act as gateways to the legacy protocols. Thus, through it's Jabber support, iChat supports AIM, MSN, Yahoo...

Maybe someone could come up with a better solution to your problem, but this may help: The screen names of your contacts should be stored in this folder: ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/ByObject So you may have to re-add them but you should have all your contacts listed in there.
