I found a built-in fix for MSN's weird behavior on the display name. %_statusmessage will be replaced with your status message in the Display Name of MSN. That seems to be working for the AIM and Google Talk pictures (although I don't think GTalk has a pic), but MSN's picture won't change when I change my address book picture.
