Shift-Command-3 or -4 (for a selection) saves the pdf to the desktop, but Shift-Control-Command-3 or -4 copies it to the clipboard instead. Ah there you go... It isn't created in the clip board afaik, it's safed to a pdf on the desktop Huh... Not on any of my systems... It always saves it in the clipboard. Then I just usually paste it in whatever program I need it in... I'm running 10.3.8 like most people... Now I do remember a time when it did that safe...
