As I noted, it's not an optimal UI. The entire Display Options tab needs to be redone, but time is a luxury commodity.

Ward asked privately for more clarification to be posted for this in the thread. In the Display Options tab each display has options. One of these is Screen, which includes a combo box (text field + popup menu) with a number in it. 0 is the main screen, each number higher than that each additional d...

Each display can be associated with a screen IIRC.

Growl works fine on Leopard. There are only a few known incompatibilities and they are listed in the sticky thread at the top of this forum.

I don't know that any of our localizations are entirely complete yet but additional improvements for German were made in 1.1.2. Our goal is to have all localizations updated in the next release, but this depends on many different factors.

Google would need to add this themselves to call out to Growl. There's nothing for us to hook into their chat interface as far as I know, and even then I think it would problematic.

We'll look to address that, and having a compelling reason to makes it that much harder to ignore ;)

tw,

Could you mock up or implement a proposed replacement in this vein for GrowlMail that would be on-par (or better ;)) with what currently ships? It seems like you've put a fair amount of thought and are familiar with the area, which is one of the areas in which we've been lacking.

I knew it could run an AppleScript from a rule, I was referencing your comment of automating the addition, which I found to be a limiting proposition.

Addition of a mail rule could be automated via an applescript, if installation was the only blocker for something that worked. I'm unfamiliar with Mail's rule scripting so I'll just state my notes. 1) This addition would be a macro solution that adds a rule to run this AppleScript when any emails, ...

Hold the Option key down when clicking the (X) This also works in other places throughout the OS. The "Growl History" idea was recently discussed in another thread, please search for that for more details.

It appears that shrink and flip are mutually exclusive, only one can be enabled at a time. The interface doesn't make this clear. Did both work at some time in the past?

Yes, it can. The latest update did not indicate a change relating to Bezel, thus you can assume it has not been fixed yet.

So, on those steps (which are perfectly fine otherwise)...

1b) [turn off in Growl] Unneeded. If GrowlMail isn't posting notifications, it doesn't matter if the app is enabled.

6) Unneeded commentary.

That was more difficult to locate than it should have been. We definitely need better documentation.

Note: "modifying" the readme isn't an option either, the product has shipped and the readme is a part of the download itself. For future versions the suggestions are all valid.
