Not fine for "everyone else".
Otherwise it is working fine for everyone else. I haven't upgraded to Adium 1.0 on my Macbook because since I upgraded to Adium 1.0 on my Mac mini I can't log on to any of my AIM accounts... I don't want to risk losing access to AIM completely. So, anyway, it's not working fine for "everyone e...

I'm having a problem like this with Jabber...
It has no problem connecting manually when I ask it, but I shouldn't have to ask it.
I really need to get Adium to reconnect, or at least *try* reconnecting, after my "Location" changes.

I've been using charcoal, as it happens...
I'm not sure why, now.
I still can't tell the difference between Charcoal and Default. It's maybe a little bit lighter. And I still wanna turn off the transitions. Ook!
How about it? I'll send you a banana! Does that work through FTP (fruit transfer protocol)?

400 prefs?
Whoa. I mean Ook . I wouldn't have thought there was that much youcould do with a bezel. Most of the settings I can think of are common to all visuals (like text styles, size, background color, screen) and the options for "bezel" are pretty much the same as for any other visual. Beyond tha...

No, I can't...
No, creating a new file doesn't do anything. Already tried that.

But the bezel style must somehow replace it's contents. I don't think it will be elegant to simply replace the content... If you have to have a transition animation, how about fading the old text to the new? That wouldn't produce a visual flicker, but would still give an elegant effect. Or y...

Re: Message history? (Custom files?)
I guess I could just log to a file and write a background app to truncate and display it. Maybe even have it alert through growl... no, wait... Hmmm. It doesn't seem to want to log to a custom file. The menu says mext to "Custom File" just says "Item 1... Item 2... Item 3"...

Message history?
Is there a way to bring up a history of messages in Growl? I'd like something in between "fill up the right side of the screen with exciting smokey boxes" and "don't see anything...". Maybe pop up a Growl logo in the upper right corner that you can click on to see messages that h...

Option to disable bezel transition?
There's an option to enable or disable the shrink effect when the bezel goes away, but there's none to disable the "flip" transition between successive messages in the bezel. I find that transition distracting, and I'd like to turn it off, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. Am I ...

Re: Growl / HTTP gateway...
How about a simple HTTP server interface... [...] If growl itself implemented a network interface Indeed, I was thinking that this should be implemented in Growl directly, though I'm looking at the plugin architecture to see what's a good way of doing it from a script. ( hint, hint ) I'd love to us...

Growl / HTTP gateway...
How about a simple HTTP server interface, so you could do growl notifications by fetching something like "http://localhost:1111/info?icon=...&tit ... .%0d...%0d..."? Implementing an HTTP server that listens to localhost and supports GET is pretty trivial.

First of all, this is something that has to be enabled on the sender's end. The sender would have to voluntarily enable the option to send text as he was typing. Well, yeh, I kind assumed that. It's as the *sender* I want to play games with the recipient using this clever scheme. :) So this whole p...

If you are all really concerned, you should move to jabber, right now. Don't know how concerned I should be. The problem with Jabber is that the people I talk to use AIM or iChat. THe people THEY talk to use AIM or iChat. Convincing them to move works better if I introduce one scary concept at a ti...

I'd like to see this as an option...
If it's possible it'd be fun to turn on for fun or freaking out the punter at the other end.
