My own icon doesn't ever update on my list. I have placed myself on my Adium list so I can see my online status easier but my my icon just never updates. I've tried all the options that have been suggested in previous threads with the same issue but none have worked. The only way I think I'm sure of...

View > Contact Name Format > Alias

Got it working. Couldn't find that option before. Thanks
